PRACTICE SUMMARY

Carleigh assists financial institutions throughout each stage of commercial lending. She is carefully attuned to due diligence and her attention to detail, as well as her strong doctrinal knowledge, furthers her drafting of loan agreements, promissory notes, mortgages, security agreements, and beyond.

Carleigh’s experience in business and corporate law carries over to her daily practice, having previously worked with an in-house corporate legal department. Prior to joining us, Carleigh assisted in a broad range of corporate matters ranging from agency operations to business transactions with international entities which enabled her to manage complex deals.

Moreover, Carleigh also has a strong background and in-depth experience in admiralty and maritime law managing intricate areas of the law, such as the Jones Act, customs restrictions, and shipping operations. Her experience also extends into environmental law, having performed extensive research into renewable energy and the application of the National Environmental Policy Act.

While in law school, Carleigh was a Rhode Island Sea Grant Law Fellow and served as President of her law school’s Maritime Law Society student association
