Ed is the firm’s Managing Partner and provides over 37 years of experience conducting commercial transactions throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. A shareholder since 1993, Ed has developed a wide-ranging practice and a keen awareness of the region’s banking and general business environment.
Having closed over 3,500 commercial transactions in his career, Ed offers extensive experience in representing financial institutions in commercial loan transactions and debtor and creditor rights. His extensive knowledge of workout and collection activity gives him an excellent perspective in handling commercial lending transactions for financial institutions and borrowers. Ed also represents small businesses in financing, acquisition and any and all other business related services.
Ed has represented nearly all of the financial institutions in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Such transactions include simple and complicated real estate transactions, business acquisitions, business loans of all types and refinances as well as collection actions including foreclosures, bankruptcies and workouts.

- Represents lenders in multi-million dollar commercial transactions, green energy transactions and construction loans.
- Closed approximately 150 commercial transactions of all types in 2024.
