Sherry A. Goldin
Practice Summary
Sherry has a broad range of legal experience in transactional and litigation matters. She represents large and small businesses with all their transactional needs, including starting new ventures, acquiring other companies, or securing the financing. She counsels clients through succession planning with both outright sales of businesses and with family succession planning.
Sherry has experience in major transactional work, major real estate projects, and counseling clients of all sizes with day-to-day operational matters, contracts, landlord and tenant issues, real estate, corporate issue, and estate planning, probate and trust administration. Sherry’s practice typically focuses on clients’ day-to-day needs in addition to advising clients daily on operational issues, contract interpretation, general corporate matters, real estate, and estate planning.
Sherry also serves as fiduciary for many clients in connection with their estate plans and assists in the administration of their estates during their lifetime and after their death.

- Represents acclaimed chefs establishing and expanding local businesses including counsel on day-to-day matters
- Represents small and large companies as general corporate counsel
- Represented private clients in Administrative Subdivisions in Cranston and Jamestown
- Assists clients with mergers and acquisitions of businesses and real estate
- Assists clients with succession planning for businesses
- Represented the Seller of a chain of yoga studios in the sale to a large national company
- Represented a client in the sale of a business to a major multi-national company
- Represented clients before many administrative tribunals for zoning and other land use matters
- Served on Steering Committees negotiating Settlement Agreements in major New England Superfund matters
- Represented clients in compliance matters before the R.I. Department of Environmental Management and the United States Department of Environmental Management
- Served as special counsel to one of Rhode Island’s largest Public Housing Agencies in special projects including bond transactions and Housing and Urban Development’s approved 3-phase Rental Assistance Demonstration Project
- Represented the state’s largest Public Housing Authority in special projects including bond transactions
- Served as Lead Counsel representing the Providence Public Buildings Authority with its initial projects
